We're excited to welcome the Czech Antarctic Research Programme into the True South Community. Czechia joins a growing number of countries with a National Antarctic Programs proudly flying True South. COVID permitting, this year's Czech Antarctic expedition will raise True South at Mendel Polar Station.
Czechia founded Mendal in 2007, and it has since been the site of significant polar findings. Under the guidance of faculty at Marysk University, researchers stationed at Mendel have contributed to fields such as polar paleontology, geomorphology, and glaciology.
We're grateful for the Czech Antarctic Research Program's support as we build this global community and bring greater visibility to the continent!
